There are a number of reasons why a browser may need to be set to Compatibly mode. Any servers that are 5.8 need to have Internet explorer, particularly 10 and 11, set to compatibility mode or Privia will start throwing errors.  In release 5.9 There was a big development push to remove the need for Compatibly mode, however  some issues may persist and IE may need to be set to compatibility mode.

  • Here is a list a few common examples of the issues that can be seen:
  • Pages on Privia Web are not displayed correctly,
  • Enhanced Web Active X controls will not load (Toolbar and Gate),
  • Menu items are not working when clicked,
  • launching a New Opportunity throws an unhandled exception

Solution:

  1. Open Internet Explorer
